Collingwood's iconic clock tower was built in 1889 and one year later, once complete, the town came together for a fancy celebration. Unfortunately, just two months after construction a fire severely damaged the structure and though it was quickly re-built, it remained 'clock-less' until 1951, when a clock was donated by Mr. and Mrs. Frank Courtice, the namesakes of today’s Courtice Crescent on Collingwood’s west side. During our tours your knowledgable guide, Heidi will regale you a number of colourful tales about Collingwood - and she'll make sure you're well-fed too! Have you resolved to eat better this year? Here's some help.

Collingwood Food Tours 02.12.2018

Last January, I was lucky enough to attend my first food tour in West Palm Beach. . While sipping on a fabulous cocktail with my brother (who is one of my favorite people in the world), we realized that Collingwood is the ideal place to experience just such a tour. . I learned in my late 20s that we only get one shot at life so I decided to become an entrepreneur and focus my passion for amazing food, people (and of course libations) into Collingwood Food Tours (and soon to a...dd Thornbury Food Tours). Our area is full of talented chefs and restaurateurs who have raised the bar with their culinary talent and experience. When I’m on a tour it’s such a thrill for me to introduce locals and tourists alike to some popular establishments... and hidden gems still waiting (somewhat) patiently for other great spots to open soon. . I couldn't be more excited for 2020 and hope it is an excellent year of health and happiness for everyone. Cheers! See more

We're thinking about a bubbly, salty and buttery NYE celebration this year. Champagne is a beautiful match for popcorn because the fine bubbles cut through the richness of the butter -- and the tasting process encourages conversation so it’s perfect for a party. Ask your guests to hold the popcorn in their mouth for a second or two as they take a sip. The popcorn will fizz a little -- almost like pop rocks, and slowly dissolve creating a unique tasting experience. Make a few ...different recipes for your friends to try -- dusted with parmesan cheese, topped with truffle oil or coated in caramel and chocolate -- the more variations, the better! . @capturedbykirsten See more
