Going Grey Gracefully - Carolyne came to me seeking a look that embraced her naturally beautiful colour. Today was our 1st session. I switched up my technique by incorporating #elumen AB@6+ 1ml of GN@All for our block colouring in the underneath for depth and to prevent from sacrificing her length by possible damage ( as I was going in blind ). P.S it worked beautifully I then resorted to our #bondpro along with the lightener to help prevent further damage to the integr...ity of her hair. We toned using #colorance 10V+8CA@PB and added 2 drops of #bluepurepigment . She had some more stubborn pieces in the front bang area that required more attention, so I overplayed with straight 8CA@PB and BAMB our final result . Today I used close to, all the elements to create this look and it did not disappoint. Did I stay late to execute it? YES. Was it worth it? EVERY TIME. Ladies, love and embrace your greys. I hope everyone is enjoying this fall Friday I have been off of work for the last few weeks dealing with personal matters that I feel I need to explain to some of you, my clients. I have shared information with a few of you in regards to my health issues recently. First off, I’d like to thank you for taking an interest and showing concern. It comes from a place of love and I thank you for that. For those of you who don’t know this may explain why I haven’t been available t...o work on your beautiful hair as much as I want to. This past year I have gone from my heaviest weight, down to a size I never thought I would see again on the scale. My health began changing in all aspects from vision problems, balance issues, extreme weight loss, bowel changes etc. Blood test after blood test nothing was coming back abnormal besides my anemia which has been a constant battle for me my whole life. I started on anti anxiety and depression medication this past year to finally address the struggles I could no longer handle and mediate on my own. ( or so I thought I had been doing) It had gotten to a point where my work ethic was beginning to suffer, thankfully I noticed and took action. 2 weeks ago I lost a very important person in my life. Through my Nana’s passing, discovery of her health history has shed light on new information that could potentially provide us some answers,or at least a starting point in regards to my health. Today I had my colonoscopy/gastro procedure done. We have an MRI lined up, as well as a specialist to test for the possible hereditary illness my Nana struggled with. I am hoping to be able to provide more information in regards to my availability and appointments going forward once I am given some more answers. Bare with me, I am trying my best to get back to you and get back to doing what I love. Thank you for listening I hope to see you all very soon. Hiii, it’s me. Literally this is my face I just wanted to share a little food for thought about open mindedness in regards to hair colour. This is a little (LONG) blurb about my own experience with opening my mind to new colours; Flash back to 2 years ago. I would of killed to have perfect platinum blonde hair without a single STITCH of warmth. And believe me, I killed my hair trying to get there. I was on my lunch break one day at work and my coworker Victoria proposed ...the idea of making me a strawberry blonde, progressively into a vibrant copper down the road. Naturally, I stuck my nose up to the idea of me wearing my least favourite colour on my head. I returned back to work and began thinking.. Why the heck not I mean it’s hair it can be changed, shes a professional, who’s work I admire, and she thinks it would suit me. Let’s give it a shot . Let me tell you, that there is not a single day where I’ve regretted allowing someone else to have full control over my colour. Of all the colours I’ve had ( and my clients know there has been many ) NOTHING has compared to the confidence I feel as a red head. REAL OR NOT Moral of the story, do not be afraid to try something new. Maybe something that’s been recommended to you. Or something you always thought you couldn’t pull off OR I’m too old for .
