We are open to patrons again! Thank you for your patience and understanding while we briefly closed our doors and provided curbside service. This was done out o...f an abundance of caution with the emergence of new Covid-19 cases in the valley. Our doors are once again open to browse shelve and checkout materials. Printing, scanning & faxing services available. Curbside service still available while our doors are open. We are happy to serve you inside the library once again. See more

This has been a year of change and adaptation for every person, business and organization, and Invermere Fire Rescue is no exception. Typically, at this time o...f year, IFR would be eagerly preparing to host our annual Fireman’s Ball fundraiser. This would have marked our 49th consecutive event. Unfortunately, due to all the reasons you already know too well, we are deeply saddened to announce that we have no choice but to cancel our world-famous (ok, valley-famous) event for this year. In past years, we have raised funds dedicated primarily to purchasing equipment not otherwise funded by government programs and grants - most noteworthy being our Road Rescue Truck, and most recently our Sprinkler Protection Unit (our current work in progress). IFR members would like to extend our gratitude to the incredible individuals and businesses for their support over the past 48 years. We are optimistic that we will be back next year with an even bigger and better Fireman’s Ball; and we can’t wait to see you all again, dressed to the nines! Thank you, Invermere! Sincerely, The Invermere Fire Rescue Crew

It's that time of year where Invermere would normally be clearing out our garages and closets to prepare for the WVSC Annual Ski and Gear Swap traditionally hel...d the first Saturday in November. This year for safety reasons related to the COVID pandemic WVSC has decided not to hold the sale at the Columbia Valley Centre. We are hopeful that the community will still find ways to swap ski gear, so we can all get out and enjoy skiing this winter! In the spirit of a Virtual Ski and Gear Swap, we would like to suggest that people use Invermere Buy and Swap Facebook group, using the hashtag #wvscskiswap on their posts to make it easier to find ski-related gear. Stay safe and happy skiing!
