In response to the covid-19 outbreak, at Colwood Dental Group we are following the recommendations of the College of Dental Surgeons of BC and closing for the remainder of the week due to having attended the Pacific Dental Conference. There was never a time that our office was notified of this being an area of concern in advance of us attending. However low risk, since the majority of the staff returned Friday morning, we want to ensure the safety of our patients. Dr. Egge...r, who did not attend the conference, remains open for emergencies for the week. All non-essential treatment is required to be rebooked at this point and we will make all efforts to schedule treatment as soon as possible. Further emergency treatment options will be available as of this weekend and we do not have any information on when we will be able to return to normal operating procedures. The End of an Era The front desk at Colwood Dental Group just got a little quieter, less sparkly, and a whole lot less fabulous! After 29 incredibly dedicated years Kim Schuttinga has decided to retire. She is trading a phone in her hand for a wine glass. There is no combination of words I could put in this post to adequately describe what a joy Kim has been to work with over the years. As patients at our office I know that this is a massive loss for you as well, it’s li...ke losing a family member......you know Kim, and Kim knows you. Many of you have been coming to the office since you were a child and now Kim is greeting YOUR child. I want you to know that Kim looks at you the same way.....like family, and the reason it seemed like she cared so much about you is because she truly did! How lucky we are to have had someone so great that makes saying goodbye so hard. However, this is not a goodbye......this is a thank you. Thank you for all of the laughs, the help, the sympathy, the incredible job you’ve always done, and thank you for your care and attention. Thank you for being you......because you my dear are an incredible light in this world! Cheers to your retirement Kim, you will be missed
