Colwood Serenity House

It is with sadness that I am officially announcing that Colwood Serenity House closed permanently as of Dec 31st 2020. Thank you to BC housing and Trista Zamany for your work assisting with the placement of 3 residents before Christmas. We are grateful that each resident found safe and stable housing alternatives. Colwood Serenity House was a stage 3 model that relied upon community resources to assist residents with healing from addiction and does not work in a pandemic ...situation. The stage 3 model does not have the resources to provide 24 hour COVID policy monitoring. As the COVID numbers increased this fall, we tried many different strategies to maintain safety while also providing adequate recovery supports. Inevitably our strategies proved not to be enough.
