Had a blast with the girl power group at come play on our river summer camp!
Two years ago Julian decided to help make a small difference by raising funds to help sponsor underprivileged youth to attend the "Come Play On The River" camp ...held in the summer at the Museum in Doaktown NB. Last year he helped send 5 youth to camp and this year he helped send 2 youths to camp. He was recognized at the ASFI banquet dinner for his efforts. We are proud of you Julz for trying to make a difference and "Pay Forward" the generosity and help you have received over the years! Love you son! Wow where has the summer gone? Those last 8 weeks flew by so quickly! We had a great year here at Come Play putting 110 kids from all over the province and country through a week of camp! If you noticed your child came home missing clothing items, water bottles, sunscreen, or towels, these items may be here at the museum in our LOST & FOUND. Feel free to drop by the museum by Oct. 1st to check it out, after that date the items will be donated. There are numerous people who h...elped us out during our 8 weeks of camp who we would like to thank! Thank you to anyone who volunteered their time to join us on our canoe trip, we could not do it without you guys!! Thank you to those of you who drove us to the footbridge and trout fishing making sure our campers got there safely. Thank you to the museum staff for cleaning up after us, scooping ice cream, providing hot lunch, driving campers, canoeing with us, and lending a hand when we needed it! Lastly, thank you parents for sending your kids to camp and grandparents who kept their out of town grand-kids for a week of camp! Camp would not run without all of this help! We hope you all enjoy the rest of the summer and the new school year. See you next June See more
