**HISTORY THURSDAY** A little different today, we are sharing with you a video of the John B. Aird launch in October, 1982. The stern was launched here in Collingwood while the fore part was constructed in Port Arthur. The two were joined officially in December in Port Arthur. Sadly, the vessel had a life span of only 35 years. Its final voyage took it to Aliaa, Turkey where it was sold for scrap.
