Especially important in these covid times. I am hearing impaired. I can't hear unless I have the visual support of the speaker. Masks take away about 75% of my hearing. So, when I say "huh?" "Sorry, say it again", I am looking for visual support. Use your fingers at the very least to tell me the number you might be using. I'll get into alphabet later. But let's start with numbers... I was always stressed that I had c-students, and instead of embracing them, I was trying to make them b-students. This is no necessary, as everyone makes it into the real world, with the skills they have, they all belong somewhere, and all valuable. We need to express that value at an early age all the way through school. This sentiment of confidence is what is going to create a solid foundation for success, not being an a-student! Embrace them where they're at!
