Its easy to get stuck in battles with different parts of ourselves. We can notice a part that is scared and then another part of us declares that we shouldn't feel that way, and the internal battle is on. What if, instead, we could bring a genuine curiosity to these vulnerable parts of ourselves. Because within these parts lies the seeds of what will move things forward. Cultivating certain skills and practices, like Focusing, can help for developing more curiosity and compassion with ourselves and give the parts inside us, that may be battling, permission to stop their fighting, as they feel safe to do so. If you are interested in learning more about the practice of Focusing, you are welcome to join our FB Community Embodied Focusing: https://www.facebook.com/groups/embodiedfocusing

This practice can help you get a little more clarity about what you are experiencing inside and sometimes find just a little more space or calm. When things are shaky and nothing is working, we might realize that we are on the verge of something. We might realize that this is a very vulnerable and tender place, and that tenderness can go either way. We can shut down and feel resentful or we can touch in on that throbbing quality - Pema Chodron . . . #communicatingwell #creatingconsciousconnection #mappingyourinnerlandscape #embodiedfocusing #gendlin #focusing #innercommunity #innerrelationship #selftherapy... #selfcompassion #selfawareness #internalconnection #befriendingyourself See more

The most fundamental aggression to ourselves, the most fundamental harm we can do to ourselves, is to remain ignorant by not having the courage and the respect to look at ourselves honestly and gently. - Pema Chodron . . . #communicatingwell #creatingconsciousconnection #mappingyourinnerlandscape #embodiedfocusing #gendlin #focusing #innercommunity #innerrelationship #selfcompassion #selfawareness #internalconnection #befriendingyourself #selftherapy
