Thank you to all of the amazing donors who gave back to our Holiday Program this year. With the matching program through the Foundation of Human Development, we were able to raise over $15,000 to ensure the people we support enjoy a special Holiday season. Your donations provided gifts to people who have limited to no family support, fun Holiday activities, Christmas stockings for every single person in our residential homes and a Swiss Chalet dinner for everyone we support and staff on December 21st. Thank you from all of us at CLB!

Even though this year has been a challenge for many, we can still celebrate Christmas and make it as enjoyable as past years! Here are some ideas I have to brighten up everyone’s holiday season. ... Right here in Burlington we have many attractions the whole family can enjoy together. One of them is Rusty Griswold’s Christmas Light Display located on Devlin Drive. This display offers a 10 song light show animated with over 7,000 lights that run nightly. This display starts right now in November. For more information, check out their website here https://rustygriswold.ca/. The waterfront at Spencer Smith Park has their usual display going on this year with plenty of new light designs for the whole family to enjoy. For more information, check out their website https://burlingtonfestivaloflights.com and come on enjoy the fun at both attractions. How about some tasty Christmas cookies with marshmallows and candy canes to satisfy that sweet tooth? Check out this easy recipe right here called Hot Cocoa Marshmallow Cookie Cups https://kitchenfunwithmy3sons.com/hot-cocoa-marshmallow-coo. Looking for some festive music to get in the spirit of Christmas? Country singer Carrie Underwood is performing her latest Christmas classics on November 25th and everyone can watch it on Facebook and YouTube. All details of this amazing fun event can be found here https://www.carrieunderwoodofficial.com/iheart-holiday-spec. Looking for more music? Some amazing pictures from yesterday's Fresh Start with Art reveal. We are so proud of the work that was created here and we hope it continues to brighten your days whenever you see it! This project would not have been possible with the vision of our Senior Manager, Candice Keem and Community Partner & Artist, Heather DeHaan. Thank you again for bringing this beautiful light in our community during these challenging times.
