The Community Foundation of Southeastern Alberta serves the community by building permanently endowed charitable funds for the changing needs and opportunities of the community, making grants, and providing leadership that contributes to the health and vitality of the community. It is a public foundation governed by a Board of Directors. Reporting to and working closely with the Executive Director, the Finance Administrator is responsible for the transactional processing and management of donations, maintenance of donation records, budget monitoring and reporting, monthly reconciliations, and preparing reports for management. Bring your post-secondary training, skills and experience to an agency that impacts our community in a wide variety of sectors arts and culture, sports, environment, social services, seniors and children, to name a few. Knowledge and Skills Solid accounting and analytical skills with strong fund accounting knowledge Minimum 5 years of experience in nonprofit or charity finances Knowledge or experience working with Financial Databases (i.e. Foundant, Raiser’s Edge, QuickBooks) Accounting experience with donation processing, receipting, banking, and reconciliation Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills Strong analytical, problem solving and investigative skills Ability to work independently and take responsibility for own work To apply please submit your resume and cover letter by February 18th at 4:00pm to: Sue Edwards, Executive Director Community Foundation of Southeastern Alberta #104, 430 6th Ave SE Medicine Hat, AB T1A 2S8 [email protected]

- When our community was facing uncertainty at the start of the pandemic, the CFSEA Board of Directors decided to repurpose the Spring Smart & Caring grants to address the urgent and immediate needs across our region. Over two months, the grants committee met and recommended funding to 18 charities in SEAB totaling $104,030! The Brooks Food Bank Foundation received $8,000 to ensure people would have access to food.
