Meet the Midwife Behind the Mask! Amy Amy from Team Pink here!! I’ve been a midwife at Community Midwives for my entire career (since 2007)! I absolutely love working at this clinic and have loved seeing it grow and evolve over the last 15 years. Actually 20 years if we count back to when I had my first baby with the midwives at CMTB. The birth of my second child is what inspired me to become a midwife! Outside of midwifery I try to spend all of my time with my husband, fo...ur kids and friends. I love cooking, fitness, nutrition and being outside!! I look forward to 2021 and hope we can all soon take off our masks. I miss seeing all of your faces. No matter what this year brings, I’m so excited and honoured to be part of the birthing experiences of our clients!! Meet the Midwife Behind the Mask! ******* Hello, my name is Nathalie Quevillon-Dussault and I have been working with Community Midwives of Thunder Bay since 2009. I graduated from the Programme de formation de sage-femme in 2001and hold a Bachelors Degree in Educationfrom Laurentian University. I truly love learning and appreciate that my field of work provides plenty of opportunities for continuing education. I am currently a Neonatal Resuscitation Program and Fundamentals of Fetal Health Surveillance instructor as well as a preceptor for future midwives. I like to drink tea, at home, with my spouse and a cat on our lap. I regularly get outside for a walk with my dog. I am good at starting things I usually don't finish, and that I am not particularly good at, like: roller derby, hockey, skiing, DIYs, working out and painting. In normal times, I travel to visit and spend quality time with family. Being a midwife is not justmy job, it is part of who I am and how I live my life. Thank you to my current, past and future clients for taking me along your pregnancy, birth and post-partum journey Photo posted with permission. #midwife #midwifery #ontariomidwife #thunderbaymidwives #cmtb #meetthemidwife #behindthemask #unmasked

Meet the Midwife Behind the Mask! Shannon Time for a little reintroduction. Hello there! My name is Shannon. I was born and raised in Thunder Bay and I have been a registered midwife since 2015.... I am truly grateful for the midwives I work with and the clients and families I care for during such a special time in their lives. When I am not on-call, you will find me working on home renovations, walking, trying to get my yorkie to enjoy walking, relaxing at my cottage and hanging out with family.
