The Healing Path mural painted by Charlie Johnston, Ashley Christiansen, Ryan Gauthier, Brad Lent, Chris Reeves with guidance from Jeanie Redeagle is one of Sel...kirk's newest and largest murals. "Working with Jeanie Redeagle as the Indigenous Knowledge Keeper for this project, along with mentoring several First Nation and Metis artists, I came to develop the design and themes for the mural created for my home town (Selkirk)." Charlie Johnston, pulled from the artist's website. On Dec. 19 from 6:30 - 9pm, watch this mural come to life by projection artist Reality Craig, who used the artist's statement and provided knowledge to create its movements. We love to thank Métis N4 Construction for supporting the mural mapping project for Holiday Alley this year, The Selkirk Friendship Centre, and Selkirk's Manitoba Metis Federation for their support on this project! If you would like to learn more about how this project came to life please look back to our Holiday Alley TV finale show on Facebook or YouTube.
