"Thanksgiving weekend is an occasion for families and loved ones to get together. This year, I am asking Islanders to do so safely by following public health me...asures and keeping the number of people we gather with outside of our household as small as possible." - Dr. Heather Morrison, PEI Chief Public Health Officer princeedwardisland.ca/covid19

The Novamacs are tart and crunchy and ready to pick this weekend! Along with the sweet, juicy Paulareds and the "Grannysmith like" Greensleeves, we have lots of... tasty treats for all the apple lovers! We were spared any damage in the storm and are open from 10am to 6pm on both Saturday and Sunday. See more

Post-Tropical Storm Teddy is now over Nova Scotia producing sustained winds of 100 km/h near its center (equivalent to a tropical storm). Latest track has Teddy... passing near (or over) eastern P.E.I. mid-day. A widespread 30-50+ mm of rain fell yesterday and last night across the Island (as of 8 a.m. ADT) with an additional 15-30+ mm for most areas today. The strongest winds for P.E.I. (NW 50-80+ km/h) are now occurring now up west and will continue to ramp up late this morning and into the afternoon for central and eastern areas (coastal gusts >90 km/h are possible). With these strong winds, Islanders should be prepared for outages today. Also, please stay away from the coast as these strong winds (occurring near high tide) will result in elevated water levels, large waves and pounding surf. Coastal flooding is possible, particularly along the north shore. Staying well back from the water is the best advice I can give. See more
