https://fb.watch/36974-i_Jt/ Ouch. That is what it looks like when a very fast sailboat does not have an ease to the mainsail (and associated runner backstay) when rounding a top mark! Airtime!

The hardest race on the planet. The Vendee solo round the world race has become an incredible close race as they approach the finish in France. Check it out! Some of these boats are built as foiling (literally flying above the water) race boats! High Tech at its best. https://www.vendeeglobe.org/en/presentation

Now these "flying sailboats" are amazing. 70foot long and travelling close to 50 knots (the same as driving down the highway at 90km/hour in your car). Incredible! https://fb.watch/31U9vZOBq0/

Comox Bay Sailing Club is pleased to report that with the support of Boating BC’s grant program we have completed the fabrication of a multi boat regatta transport trailer. This new trailer was fabricated locally in Comox by Ocean Metal Custom Fabrications and will transport our sailboats and coach boat to compete in the BC Circuit and beyond! The trailer will enable youth sailors as well as adult sailors to compete all around BC by providing a strong, safe, and efficient mea...ns of transport for our sailboats as well as our coach boat. This was made possible by the funds generated by Boating BC at the Vancouver Boat Show and will promote participation in boating by sailors out of the Comox Valley Area for years to come. Comox Bay SC’s Vice-Commodore and Sailing Team director would like to thank both Boating BC and Ocean Metal Custom Fabricators for their tremendous support of our sailors and the Comox Bay Sailing Club!

Turkey Bowl 2020! Thanksgiving weekend, and the CBSC annual fall regatta was underway. A full slate of 18 competitors comprised of Laser sailors, Optimist dinghies and a even a 420 (pic) had a great weekend day on the bay. After waiting patiently for the breeze to fill, the race committee set a close course that allowed some intense close racing! Well done competitors!
