Wishing that the spirit of the holidays bring you and your household rest, shared memories and hope for the year ahead. Be kind, stay safe and remember it is OK to not be strong everyday. Today, I am grateful to live and work in this beautiful and thoughtful community.
Too cute - Comox FD elves on the shelf Working 24/7 7 days a week for our Town
Proud wife post My husband Luke brought home his trophy and medal tonight for Firefighter of the Year - 2020 in Comox. He started a month prior to my 4-year term on Council began. Serving Comox together has been such a great experience for us both. We live in the best community, because of organizations like Comox Fire Department, SAR, Comox Town hall and our Recreation Centre. We are so lucky to call the Comox Valley home. Take a look at that National Medal of honour ... Congratulations to all the firefighters (and partners) on their 2020 service awards
Reading my Council Inbox this morning and wanted to share a list of mental health resources shared by our provincial government. This is quite a list and may be worth exploration for anyone struggling personally or supporting someone who may be. Personally my mental health was a struggle this year like it has been for many. Luckily my resources included therapy services, business coaching, friends, family and a great family doctor to help me manage the situational blues. Let's remove the stigma for asking for help and around mental health. "Caring for your mental health this holiday season more important than ever."
