I am very happy to report that Kane has found his new forever, loving home. I was contacted by Kane's new owner's to help them with an out of control hound dog they had named Max. Max is a very high energy, Beta dominant dog that couldn't be walked on leash, knock them and their small son over, nipped and bit them, literally chewed trees to pieces and tore the side of their shed completely off. I met with them and suggested Max come to my home for a week of rehabilitation. Ma...x came for a week and did really good with the pack and I and was great on leash. But I knew he was not a good match for this family because of his high energy and confident dominance. The day they came to pick him up we had that conversation and while they watched Max play with my dogs they said, "That is exactly how he plays with us." Seeing Max with my pack helped them realize that he wasn't the right dog for them and they made the heartbreaking decision to let me keep Max and find him a more suitable home. I brought Max in the house and brought Kane out to meet them. It was love at first sight all around. They saw that Kane's energy was a far better match for them and although he is also a confident, dominant dog, Kane is far more respectful of personal boundaries and listens well when corrected and asked to relax. That was a week ago and I brought Kane to them today, along with 5 other members of my pack to help him feel comfortable in his new surroundings. Kane has been doing phenomenal all afternoon and evening and has definitely associated his new home with loving, affectionate, calm and relaxed energy. It was a very sad drive home and I shed a few tears, but when I saw these pictures they sent me all of that went away. I love Kane as a son and will miss him terribly but my heart is filled with joy knowing he is in a great, loving home. Peace

After Supper Nap Time. Dogs don't sleep alone in concrete kennels or crates while they are here for rehabilitation. They sleep with me on the bed, along with however many other dogs will fit. The pack always sleeps together. If you prefer not to have your dog sleep on your bed, then just take naps on their bed with them. One of the fundamental aspects to the relationship with your dog is your energy. You should be able to ask your dog to sit, lay down, roll over and relax any...where, including in the middle of a park or at the vet's office. The baseline energy you want to represent to your dog is calm, relaxed energy. There's a time to play, there's a time to patrol our territory or go explore new ones, there's a time to eat and after all that, there's a time to nap. When a dog has nothing better to do, it's going to take a nap. In order for you to represent calm, relaxed energy, you must project calm and relaxed energy. That's the hard part for many people because of our hectic lives and schedules, but also because the techniques you use to try and calm your dog's energy don't work. Your energy and your dog's energy are now feeding off each other increasing the intensity and longevity of the behavior. It is at this point that you now come to represent that high energy state and the behavior. In order to fix this you must first and foremost represent calm and relaxed energy to your dog. The best time to do this is the after supper nap. When you get home from work or at the end of the day, play with your dog or take your dog for a walk. When you get home, feed your dog and then put it in the yard or take it for a walk for about 20 minutes. Then take your dog back into the house, ask it to sit, lay down, roll over and relax in a nice, comfortable area. While your dog is laying on its side, rub the dog's chest very gently with your fingertips in a circular motion until you see your dog's eyes soften and it starts to fall asleep. Then you start to pet your dog with a flat hand along the length of its body, very slow and gentle. You do this until your dog falls asleep and continue to pet your dog as long as you want while it sleeps. Take this opportunity to lay down with your dog, snuggle it and take a nap together. You will be glad you did. Be the peace you want in your life. Peace

Many ask how it is possible to have so many dogs in my little home, especially when they are all Alpha and Beta dominant dogs and most were deemed aggressive. It's simple really. You teach your children to be calm and relaxed in the house, play outside and respect each other's space and position in the family. I am a father with 24 children with fur and any number of other furry, unbalanced kids that stay with us for rehabilitation to learn how to properly socialize and play ...and to be respectful to others. Our relationship is based on Trust, Respect and Relaxation which is earned through affection, discipline and taking naps together. If you want to have this relationship with your dog, simply say 'no' to them when they do something you disapprove of and then ask them to sit and relax. You then thank them by giving them affection. This video will show you how to say 'no' to a dog and then ask it to sit and relax without saying a word. Mother's DON'T give their puppies treats for good behaviour, she gives them affection, lots and lots of affection. In this video you will see the ONLY place and manner in which you can touch your dog that replicates how its mother showed it physical affection. And she definitely didn't pet them on the top of their head. This IS the magic. Watch closely. Master this and EVERY dog will look you in the eye and melt in your hand, but only if you have a true and sincere loving, calm and balanced energy. Correction, Sit, Relax, Affection. Be the peace you want in your life and your dog will be at peace as well. When 'dog trainers' fail, my pack and I can help you. This video shows why. Peace

All these dogs, except for 2, are Alpha and Beta dominant dogs and most were considered 'aggressive' and dangerous. Many of them have 'attacked' other dogs and/or humans on multiple occasions, a few resulting in the death of a dog. There are two dogs here who were severely abused by humans and who subsequently arrived terrified of humans. The white dog laying on the platform is a rescue from a meat market in South Korea who will remain loved and protected by her pack forever.... She will NEVER experience abuse at the hands of a human again. Fifteen of these dogs were to be euthanized due to their behaviour. I saved them. Only ONE of these dogs, and only 3 out of the nearly 1,500 dogs I have worked with in BC over the last 5 years, can ACTUALLY be considered aggressive, Lotus, the beautiful English Bulldog/Pit Bull in the crate with the door closed. There is a dog out with the others who can never be loose with Lotus as she is a True Alpha dominant female like Lotus and they WILL get into a dominance challenge, what everyone mistakenly calls a 'dogfight'. They each get time to spend with the pack. The pack (family) plays together, explores together, eats together, naps together and sleeps together. Most nights I sleep on top of the blankets because I know I will be kept warm all night surrounded by dogs who trust me, respect me, love me, are happy to see me, (A wagging tail doesn't mean happy, it means energy.) and instead of 'submitting' to me, relax in my presence. I can help make your home this peaceful and quiet. I hope you enjoy the conversations. Killing a dog doesn't change anything. Teaching humans to understand dogs does. Trust Respect Relaxation Cheers

The Relaxation Exercise. (My apologies for the background noise.) The beautiful German Shepherd is Ollie, a dog that was reactive and aggressive. Ollie is excellent with me and much better with his owners. Although he is nowhere near as reactive as he used to be, his owners are still working on asking Ollie to relax in situations where he becomes alert, the mental state before reactivity. She recorded the session so they could review the footage when needed....Continue reading

I deal with a family like this at least once a week. I have had many clients start to cry while speaking to me on the phone as I explain why their dog acts the way it does and how I am able to help, because for the first time they realize their dog isn't 'aggressive'. I have had many clients who started to cry during the consult when for the first time they saw their dog happy with other humans and dogs or walking calmly on a leash. I have cried myself many nights reading me...Continue reading

Finley has been adopted and is off to live a wonderful life on an island off the north coast of Vancouver Island. Finley is a very special dog to me as he was slated to be put to sleep due to his 'aggressive' behaviour. I was really hoping to keep Finley as a permanent member of my pack but when the perfect owner and home came into our life, I had to let him go. More than leadership, Finley needs copious amounts of affection when in a calm and balanced state to continue to build his trust with humans and he will get the undivided attention of his new owner who works from home. In time another dog will be added to the family so Finley has a brother or sister to play and snuggle with. We wish Finley all the best and we will miss him dearly. I love you Finley.
