Mistry is available for adoption Howl-o there! My name is Mistry, which I very much am! Do you have the detective skills to figure me out? I'll give you some clues... I'm a lovely, female, 9 year old Shepherd mix who has some ninja-like qualities. I'm very quiet and not a barker, and I get frightened and nervous by loud noises. I'm a great watcher of life, having a very calm persona. I'm not overly active, with sleeping being one of my favorite activities. In fact, I... sleep so well, I never have to go out in the middle of the night. When I am awake, I love to be outside. I love to play with birds, chew on bones, throw in a belly rub or two or three. But please don't leave me out too long, my teeth will chatter. I won't try and escape the yard, as I love the feel of a warm home. I'm in good health, including my hearing. I listen well and have been trainable so far -- though this may involve lots of treats. So far I know "sit," "down," and, well, "treat." I'm learning how to use stairs, and I need help to get in and out of a car. These are just really foreign things to me. I'd be happy to have just you/your family as my constant companion(s) to help me with these things, but if you have other pets, I would do best with another dog. No cats, please. Adopted Dakota has found his furever home

Update: Lolly has found her furever home and is now adopted Lolly is available for adoption G'day, everyone! My name is Lolly, and I'm an 85 lb, 2 year old Maremma Sheepdog. I hope you won't be intimidated by my size, as I am the sweetest dog you'll ever meet. I am easygoing, friendly, and gently playful with both kids and adults. I get along with other animals as well, but can be a bit protective (but not aggressive) if an animal shows aggression or hyperactivity aro...und me. See, I am kind of low activity, and my foster mom says that I am all about love -- I love attention, affection, and being pet. I'll always ask for more pets if you're willing to give them, and that's really my speed. I love to go for walks and can become playful on our walk, especially in the snow. I haven't learned to play with toys yet though -- maybe you can teach me? I'd do wonderfully in a home with a yard and high fences where I can play and roam free -- and maybe play with other animals if you have another dog (or a friend with a dog?). I love to run to up to the fence to greet people and animals walking by when I'm outside, but my vocalization level is pretty low. I've learned to sit and to take treats very gently from people. I'm also learning other commands from watching my foster mom's dog, along with house training. I can sometimes have accidents on my own, and if I get a little upset or scared, I'll pee a little as well. I don't do well with raised voices and don't like to be in trouble or have any sort of confrontation. I try my best to be as good as I am sweet, but I will need some guidance to fully get there. What the world needs now...

Now available for adoption Man, oh man, am I ever a good boy! I don't want to sound conceited BUT I pretty much check off all the boxes when it comes to looking for the perfect family dog. I am a sweet, loveable puppy, yet i'm also pretty gentle and laid back too. I LOVE children and they love me. My foster home has 11 and 12 year old children who do all sorts of fun things with me, and at night, I love sleeping in their rooms with them. During the day I have been staying... in a kennel while my people are at work and school because, being that I am still young and like to chew, I do seek out cardboard and wood type items if I do get bored. In the future I think I would do well taking care of the house and not being in my kennel. When I hear the word 'no' then I let items go and move on. After the humans are home again, I can't wait for a good belly rub and an evening walk. I should mention that I am still a little timid with loud noises and big sudden movements but, I think that once I have been with my new family for a while then I will be o.k. with all of that. I am great with other dogs, both big and small. My foster family thinks I could probably do well with a cat in the home as well. The only thing I am not really super interested in is learning new tricks. Since I like to take it easy when we are not playing, I don't really feel a huge sense of urgency to learn. Now Available for Adoption Are you ready to fall in love in 2021? Then you have come to the right place! Hi, my name is Poppy! I'm a 16 month old, female Maremma Sheepdog who will steal your heart. I am a calm, sweet dog who doesn't have any bad habits - cross my doggie heart! I'm easygoing and friendly with kids aged 6 and over (I haven't met anyone younger), and adults, gosh, they are my best friends! I love them so much! Cats I'm tolerant of and we can co-exist. ...I've never learned how to play with other dogs, so my foster family is working on getting me socialized with them. I'm great with calm dogs, but loud and hyper ones are like nails on a chalkboard and I'll growl and show my teeth. Before coming to CAWS, I lived on a property where I wasn't allowed indoors and slept under a car. But, living inside a house is great! I'm so happy to be around people, I'll follow them wherever they go to make sure they never feel lonely. I'm also not a vocal dog, so we can enjoy some quiet reading or TV time together, or even a long, lazy, afternoon nap in your warm home. As for my listening skills, I'm super smart and am picking up well on commands. I have great recall from the background, I've never jumped up on anyone, and I've never begged for table food. My foster family is trying to teach me how to play fetch and stuff, and with some love and time with you, I'm sure I'll catch on. Now, I have a confession - I'm scared of car rides and kennels. I'm quite content to sleep on the floor next to your bed and won't jump on the bed. I'm also completely house trained and will sleep through the night without having to go outside. When my foster family goes out, they let me hang out in an enclosed breezeway, and I haven't been destructive at all. They also let me out into the backyard on my own 5-6 times a day and I don't try to escape. They're also teaching me to walk on a leash right now. I'm a work in progress, but I'm not hard to walk and will come along with you. Lastly, my foster family says to tell you that I am mellow, loyal, a social butterfly, laidback, happy, and adaptable. They think I will bond beautifully with my new owners and that it's super important I never be without shelter again. I currently weigh about 40 pounds, and I shouldn't get too much bigger. My foster family is always saying how I'm a great size for a family dog. I get along well with children, and, because of my smaller size, my 11- and 12-year-old foster humans can walk me with ease. I am great with kids and have been around humans ages 6+.
