With all the things we teach dogs they can teach us just as much if we pay attention Board and Train Doug is teaching us to take a moment and enjoy the beauty of the little things that we tend to overlook with the busyness of daily life.

A long video that shows the process of the first training session. Savvys family of 6 years has NEVER been able to leash train him or walk him due to this severe fear and negitive association with the leash, they have tried almost every leash, collar and harness combination to try to leash train him with no avail with many leashes and harnesses chewed through. We ended our assessment very quickly once we realized the severity of this issue in order to stop further injury to... Savvys mouth and paws. The assessment was originally started with just a slip leash and flat collar but we immediately had to incorporate the prong due to the behavior resulting In restricted breathing and the prong collar allows for full airflow and no comprise to breathing. Savvy has NEVER been walked and has been confined to the house and yard due to this severe and damaging behavior. Our first training session we immediately incorporated training tools and started to correct this damaging behavior and start the leash training process. It looks very messy and we didn't get every "sit" we asked for but that's OK our goal for this first session was to eliminate the arousal and the act of "attacking" the leash. Savvy is 6 years old and have NEVER been out on a walk and due to this he has serious lack of exposure to the outside word which makes this behavior even more dangerous because of the lack of exposure creates a flight response if/when he chews through the leash. Our first training session was a short 20 minute session because we wanted to limit the amount of stress to ensure he retains as much as possible from the first session. completecaninecalgary.com/training
