Grief. This time of year the topic of grief is sensitive, especially now that we’re in the middle of a pandemic with a second lockdown upon us here in British Columbia. We are grieving multiple things during this time. From the depths of our independence, connection to friends and family, and human beings in general. We are experiencing firsts without our loved ones. Some of us are grieving the loss of our health or even the freedom of self expression.... Loss and grief is not just about death. The 5 stages of grieving: Denial Anger Bargaining Depression Acceptance All of which we can easily sway in and out of for quite some time. There is no right or wrong way to grieve nor is there a time frame in which we should do it. The time it takes to get to acceptance is completely your own and only that. It is important to remember that acceptance is about acknowledging that you will never be the same person you were the day before your experience. We are forever changed and with that, we move into a new life. So why this image?
