We have limited PPE and the distancing measures required for COVID-19 mean we are not able to accommodate the same number of in person appointments. Eastern Health is setting up appointment-only blood collection clinics throughout our region to respond to the need for urgent blood work. Appointments will limit the number of patients in clinics. Doctors will supply patients needing urgent blood work with a Laboratory Test Special Authorization Form. Requisitions must be dated after March 16th to be considered urgent, and that date may change in future.... Cancer patients will NOT need a Laboratory Special Authorization Form.
