I promise this is worth the wait & worth the read. __________ As you know, every October we partake in fundraising for an organization I hold close to my heart and this year we’re doing things a little differently! World Mental Health Day is observed annually on October 10th, with the objective of raising awareness of mental health issues around the world and mobilizing efforts in support of m...ental health. With the current pandemic situation, the past few months have brought on challenges for many. Given past experience of emergencies, it is expected that the need for mental health and psychosocial support will substantially increase in the coming months, even the coming years. With that being said, funds for mental health programmes at the national and international level are low due to years of underfunding - and now we need it now more than ever. Organizations such as the CAMH is one of the world’s leading mental health research hospitals. For over 20 years, they have have worked towards new ways to treat, diagnose and prevent mental illness. They have been a voice and a safe house for people struggling across the globe, including myself. The risk factors for suicide are complex and multifaceted; however, using a personalized approach to mental health, CMHA envisions a world where every individual receives care tailored to their unique genetics, history and situation. With your help, my goal here is to spread awareness by promoting self love and raise funds for this amazing organization once again! As I welcome you back into the boutique, here are a few rules you will need to follow: Upon arrival, there will be a disinfection station in the lobby. Here you will find sanitizer and pre-empt medical grade disinfectant wipes. PLEASE make use of them. Sanitize your hands and cellphone, if you wish to use it during your service. Please bring your own mask - i...f you do not have one, I have some available for purchase! Your mask must be worn for the entire service as well. *Please expect covid screening questions and reschedule if you feel sick.* We are still by appointment only - no walk ins - but due to the new guidelines I kindly ask that you refrain from bringing anyone with you to your service. Contactless payment is available, but I am still accepting cash payments. As per usual, stations, implements and common areas will be disinfected in between clients but we will not be serving beverages or reading material at this time. You are welcome to bring your own though!
