Ancaster Property Remodel Part 5 Front Patio Hardscaping & Steps The Backyard turned out so nice we were invited back to do the front. We ripped out the old concrete steps and pathway and replaced it with pavers and precast steps. the 600lb. steps were placed by hand and slid across wood until we could lever them up to level them. The sump pump line had to be reconfigured near the house and an electrician cam and ran wires for the lights. A retaining wall with weeping tile was added to take the slope out of the yard. Lastly some simple piers were constructed with the remaining material for the lights

In Ontario, contractors are required to carry contractors insurance also known as general liability insurance. It protects against financial loss due to an accident or damages caused to clients or third parties. When you work with Concept you, or any third parties, are 100% protected. We carry the standard 2 million dollar coverage suitable for residential and commercial work. COI's will be provided upon request.

Ancaster Property Remodel Part 4 Hardscaping & Pavilion The last step to completing this backyard was to add the hardscaping. A pavilion was constructed on the center pad and pavers were added to the old porch area. We then added some stone steps and some armor stones. Triangle Landscaping came in and did up the garden beds and sod to finish it off.

Ancaster Property Remodel Part 3. Concrete and Block Work The next step in this project was to create 2 concrete pads. Simple timber formwork was used. We lined the forms with oil to ensure easy and clean stripping in the future. We also started the block work for the fireplace. another custom design with a center stack accompanied by 2 side wood storage cubbys. Unfortunately, due to the pandemic, there was a shortage on block and it would end up being weeks before Mike could grab some more. We also drilled and poured concrete piers that the pavilion would later tie into.

Ancaster Property Remodel Part 2. Demolition, Excavation, and Backfill Mike liked our fence so much he decided to give us more work. His existing patio needed to be cut out, and he wanted a pad in the back for a fireplace and pavilion. we removed and entire bin of concrete and found an old pad underweight. The height was acceptable to use for future landscaping, so we filled in around it with gravel. We rented out an excavator and had a blast digging out the backyard for the pad. The excavator was also utilized for digging out 2 future concrete pads. One for the fireplace and one for the BBQ

Ancaster Property Remodel Part 1. Custom Horizontal Fence This project started with our client first wanting a custom privacy fence. We played around with some ripped board layouts until a style was selected. Ripped boards were sanded, resealed and screwed to a frame with vertical rails. Though some of the pieces are thin, it is very strong. 5x5 posts with a clean cut top finish were used, and prefabricated doors were installed. Looks clean*
