R.A.D Self Defense Hi, my name is Desiree, and I am 1 of the 4 certified R.A.D Instructors that we have at Conestoga College! What is R.A.D?... R.A.D stands for (Rape Aggression Defense) and is a free, comprehensive 3 day self-defense course that Security offers for anyone who identifies as a woman. The course content consists of training the mind and body, learning awareness, prevention, risk reduction and avoidance as well as hands on physical training. R.A.D. is the only self-defense program ever endorsed by the International Association of Campus Law Enforcement Administrators (IACLEA). It is important for us in Safety and Security, to provide a safe supportive learning environment, where women can learn to defend themselves from various attacker situations, and see for themselves how powerful they really are. We look forward to adding you to our R.A.D family, and always remember the mindset. I will survive.
