Things to consider
Lots going on this week! Here is a full calendar of events.
Confederation College has held an approved Designated Learning Institution (DLI) designation since DLIs were established. We are currently working very closely with all levels of government to have our COVID-19 Readiness plan approved, and are in the final stages of this process. As noted by IRCC, the DLI approval list will be updated regularly (weekly or bi-weekly, we understand); please consult it for further updates and do not plan to travel to Canada until Confederation ...College appears on the approved list. We understand that this is a very stressful time for everyone and assure you that we are doing everything we can to expedite the approval process, which involves authorizations at the district, provincial and federal levels. We appreciate your patience and ask that you wait until you are informed of our formal approval. Once approved, we will provide further details with regard to the quarantine processes you must adhere to and your approved travel dates. Sincerely, Miriam Wall Dean of International Education

If you receive a phone call from someone claiming to represent Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) who threatens that you may be arrested or deported, this is a SCAM. Do not respond to these calls or transfer any money (or gift cards) to the callers. IRCC will never contact you in person, online, or by telephone to collect fees or fines and say it’s to avoid deportation or face other consequences. The numbers may appear as local numbers. For more information on how to protect yourself against immigration scams, visit: https://bit.ly/2DGcPYe
