Marriage licenses and where can you get one right now? Due to the rapidly changing circumstances we find ourselves in, many couples are left wondering IF/WHEN/WHERE they can obtain a marriage license right now. Unfortunately, the answer ISN'T super straight forward. You see, each municipality does things there own way. Some are offering marriage licenses, some are offering them in cases of emergency, and others aren't offering them at all! One thing all of the municipalities ...that I spoke with had in common was that they all said things are changing regularly! So be sure to check online or call before dropping by. Here is a list of some Southern Ontario cities where you CAN get a marriage license: Kitchener Oakville Burlington London St. Thomas If you don't live in one of the above cities, you can still get your marriage license there! Can I be real honest with you for a second? This pregnancy has been hard. And not hard in the traditional - morning sickness, exhaustion, uncomfortable kind of way. It's been hard mentally. When you get pregnant you expect that your body is going to change, right? Right. The hard part (for me anyway) is actually accepting those changes. I guess 30+ years of having the message "thinner is better" drilled into my head has really left an impression on me. Even at a time when you... are expected (and medically encouraged) to gain weight! I mean, there's no way I would ever look at another pregnant woman and think "gosh, she's really packing on!" but when I catch my own reflection, that's almost always my first thought. And you know what? Worrying about something as silly as a number on a scale has impacted my ability to appreciate the actual literal HUMAN BEING GROWING INSIDE OF ME. So. Silly. Self love is an ever changing journey and I'm sure I'm not alone in the challenges of learning to love the skin I'm in at every stage of life. I don't even know where to begin, you guys! This week has been such a dream come true and I don't even know how to begin to put it into words. I'm overwhelmed with gratitude and joy that I get to chase this crazy dream of mine and somehow call it work. What a freaking blessing! Two years ago if you had told me I would be planning not one, but TWO, amazing photoshoots (in a week. while 32 weeks pregnant) I would have thought you lost your whole dang mind! So thank you from the... bottom of my heart, to the people who have supported and cheered me on. I am lucky to have all of you and I can't wait to see what's next! I'm going to tell you a little story about why it's SO DANG IMPORTANT to work with a florist! It was a hot summer day and the family of the bride was bringing the centre pieces to their hotel the night before the wedding. The hotel had graciously offered to store the florals in the service fridge to keep them cool and happy. The problem? The fridge was WAY too cold and likely housed citrus fruit and other flower killing items. The next day when the flowers showed up at the ve...nue they were all dead. Every single hydrangea was a brown slushy mess and the foam pieces were frozen solid. Fortunately, there were groomsmen on site who went to the nearest flower shop to buy more flowers and we were able to get them looking decent before guests arrived. The lesson? Always have your florist deliver the flowers! They are the ONLY person who can really be held accountable for their survival and appearance.
