HOW I TRANSFORMED MOM-GUILT INTO THE TRIP OF A LIFETIME. I was standing in the middle of a room at my first Bio-energy healing workshop. Just getting here, the universe repeatedly had me encounter practitioners in my everyday life, including my dental hygienist. There was a poster I was eyeing about doing the full 2 week Bio-energy training in Costa Rica. My heart sank because as much as I wanted it, I felt I could never leave my husband and 2-year old. That would be selfish,... I didn't have the money, I wasn't worth it, and taking that time off was out of the question. I'm a mom now, I thought. Those dreams are over. My partner stepped in and did the opening scan. I started to cry and couldn't stop. I had no idea why. The tears just flowed. It wasn't until later that I realized I was grieving my freedom. You know, the thing all of us parents miss but feel too guilty to say. I realized that if I had this much hidden grief, then most parents probably do too. That day I decided to sign up for that trip. I hesitated. But instead of saying "I want to go to Costa Rica BUT I have no time, money... I changed it to BECAUSE it's the best gift I can give myself, my family and the world. And you know what? It was the BEST gift. Bio-energy helped me heal and I was able to help many more with this amazing tool after. But here's the CRAZY part. 30 minutes after I said YES, I got gifted a substantial CHEQUE to "use in good health" that funded my trip. And my family was very supportive about childcare. I took a chance, and because it aligned with what my soul craved, the universe worked out the details. It still blows my mind. So I hope this inspires you to change your BUT to BECAUSE. MY DAILY RITUAL. The energy of 2021 is all about dedicating time to your spiritual practice, whatever that looks like for you. What rituals or practices are you doing this year? One thing I do every morning is draw 1 tarot and 1 oracle card. I keep a journal just for my daily card draws, lunar and seasonal tarot spreads. I keep this in my bedroom so I can do it before the start of a day with my kiddos (who are 1 and 4). I intuitively connect to the card and write about my in...tention for the day. Then life unfolds and after the kids are asleep, I reflect on how the card showed up in my daily experiences. This is where a seemingly ordinary day becomes MAGIC! I really started to pay attention to my interactions, the conversation topics, or my challenges of the day. Most days I'm like "holy crap, that's exactly the message I needed today". And it helps strengthen my connection to the cards, which are really an extension of my higher self. Today I drew the Hermit (solitude and inner wisdom) and The Sun (new beginnings). It became clear to me that this relates to my desire to share more of my life as an intuitive mama on this platform and in order to do that, I need moments of solitude from busy family life to get inspired and have time to write my stories for y'all. What started as a sudden bout of anxiety and health symptoms in 2017 led me down a path of self discovery and facing childhood and ancestral trauma. ACCEPTANCE. At some point, we have all had the tendency to judge someone and think we know how to "fix" them. If they were only a certain way, things would be better for them. In reality, you may share wounds with them and want to fix them in order not to feel yours. You are loving ON CONDITION.
