On September 22 for @groveyouthsrhigh and September 25 for @groveyouthjrhigh, our GroveYouth community will be coming back together again. . . We know that in the last several months our whole world has stopped, pivoted, and re-oriented in new directions. We are now tasked with trying to do normal things in new ways so that everyone can be safe. Over the last few months we have taken the time to carefully and prayerfully plan how GroveYouth could come back together in-perso...n while following the government’s Worship Service guidelines and ensuring that we respect the needs of our community. . . Today we begin to share with you the plan for GroveYouth to know, experience, and follow Jesus together in this fall. Over the next few weeks we will release more and more information on our pages about our plans and processes and how you can be involved in our community in-person or online. . . We all know that things change quickly these days. We hold all of our plans loosely, knowing that even the things we have planned right now will likely change and shift with the onset of fall. Because of that, we will be releasing information about events in small chunks, one month at a time. . . Starting on September 22 & 25, we will host an in-person GroveYouth worship service gathering in the sanctuary that will include contactless games, teaching, and musical worship on Tuesday and Friday nights. This gathering will run at a reduced time from our regular GroveYouth gatherings (1.5 hours) from 8:00-9:30pm. Because we know that some will not feel comfortable to gather in this way, we are currently working on making an interactive live-streamed option available to view from home during the designated program time. . . Small Groups fulfill GroveYouth’s value of intentional relationship building. They are integral to our program. We are still evaluating how to do small groups safely during this time. Welcome to GroveYouth Jr. High! This is a program that happens on Friday nights for Grades 7-8s. We love spending time together, learning together, and having fun together! GroveYouth exists to know, experience, and follow Jesus together. We do this though (swipe) welcoming you, having time to mingle, playing a big game, playing a few mini games, hearing what’s going on in our community with announcements, learning together in teaching times, singing, spending time in our small groups, and ending the night off with a delicious snack! ***this is for normal to non-Covid times*** We’d love to see you be a part of this awesome community! #groveyouthjrhigh #getconnected #theconnection @ Forest Grove Community Church - Attridge

Just like so many others, COVID-19 has hit our partner ministries hard, and has completely changed the way we operate. We’ve had to cancel California Breakaway, meet online for our youth groups, postpone summer gatherings, and cancel summer camps. The Connection exists to connect students to different ministries in our province, and even through a heavily restricted pandemic, we believe we can do that. For the summer of 2020, we will not be meeting together. The Connection wo...uld not be The Connection without playful games, worshipping together, reuniting and hugging old friends, and of course, eating delicious snacks together. While this does sadden us, we are excited to connect you in new ways. Each week of July and August, our partner ministries will be posting resources for you to engage with. They might be a Bible reading plan, a teaching video, a craft to do at home, or any other crazy thing they come up with! We will be posting these resources for you each week so that you can still engage with each of our partner ministries throughout the summer!
