What is the difference between an Athletic Therapist and Physiotherapist?

We are now accepting ICBC claims for rehab training with our Athletic Therapist. Marie-eve works together with our RMT's to help with safe effective exercises and also does hands on therapy to relieve tension and pain or discomfort. One will recover faster with monitoring of effective movement exercises and we now can bill directly to ICBC. for the sessions.

Just a reminder we are Open Sunday until AUG for Athletic Therapy covered by most extended medical plans. Marie-eve works hands on relieving tension and tests for the origin of pain and is trained to assess and give you the best exercises for rehab. Book online

Dear Patients; We are pleased to hear the announcement from Bonnie Henry who released a letter to B.C. Regulated Health Professionals that we can return to practice as soon as May 19th. We have decided to take the next few weeks to prepare for Re-Opening by taking special care to make sure our studio is ready and cleaned to perfection and to the utmost degree necessary. With health guidelines in place and required safety measures by the CMTBC and Osteopathy College we want ...to ensure all patients are comfortable. Therefore; we have decided to make our official studio OPEN June 1st for booking apt's online. We will be announcing more details of the changes that we will be implementing to our studio last week of May. Patients will be required to follow all safety guideline standards set in place by the BC Health professional colleges and screening procedures will be taken to reduce the risk of transmission of Covid-19. We will be allowing regular clients to book their apts first and our practitioners will send an email out soon to explain before our book online goes live. Our letter will explain our new health safety procedures and protocols will go out soon. We want to make sure all of our loyal clients are feeling prepared and confident in coming in for a treatment as we want to minimize the risk of any exposure during physical contact as possible by wearing all PPE and making it available for clients, taking care to make your health and safety our priority. We are sorry to report that there is no sign of a date that we in our health service sector can re-open. The Minister of Health and BC College of Massage Therapy has not issued any statements of protocol for us to be able to open a safe Practise of Registered Massage Therapy or Osteopathy in B.C. at this time. It is hard to keep our minds busy at home and physically stay strong during these times. Here at Connections we believe that the body and mind connection is very import...ant, even more so when we have so much time on our hands. Welcome to the studio: Marie-Ève Cadrin Athletic Therapist Marie-Ève completed her B.Sc. in Exercise Science with a Specialization in Athletic Therapy at Concordia University in 2018. After graduating, she decided to complete a Master in Kinesiology at the University of British Columbia to enrich her knowledge about rehabilitation.... As a certified athletic therapist, Marie-Ève is specialized in the assessment and rehabilitation of acute and chronic musculoskeletal (muscles, bones and joints) injuries. She understands the importance of sports and individual specificity in the treatment and rehabilitation of individuals. Her treatment is planned in function of the client and can include various manual therapies, modalities, exercise prescriptions and tapings. Her treatments are covered under most extended medical plans as Athletic Therapist. Marie-Ève is available in the studio on Mondays and Fridays.

Winter is coming soon, and you may find yourself in need of a tune up before the ski season. We have added 4 new practitioners to our team to ensure you're feeling your best during the upcoming colder months.
