I wanted to share this wonderful new program for Seniors with you and ask you to please share with friends you have who have aging parents or connections to Seniors in our community. Many seniors are fearful of making connections so your help would be greatly appreciated!

Placing A Loved One In Care My Dad has been gone for years now. A few months ago, I was walking down the hallway in an assisted living facility glancing through... the open doors after visiting a client there. I was sad at how many residents were sitting looking out their windows or watching television alone. I wondered how long their days must feel when they are so immobile and stuck in their rooms. I think about their lives and their stories. I wonder if they had children and family and where they live now. Most of the time seniors who have to live in care facilities, due to medical conditions would not have wanted or ever imagined their last stage of life would be in care. So true - my sons are on their own now, one living in Calgary and the other in Edmonton. Often when we are together and I say goodbye, I turn so they can't see the tears that drop from my eyes...............Motherhood is such a heartfelt, fabulous time in our lives!
