Today Conrad grade 4/5 students with Ms. Murray and our wonderful ladies from Indigenous Education did our walk for Chanie Wenjack and laid our memorial stones for him and all children who didn’t make it home from residential schools. Please check out our signs and stones along Rushbrooke Trail! #secretpath #downiewenjack

Thank you to Constable Keller from our local RCMP detachment for coming into our school last week to answer student questions about what he does in his job and for also explaining all the pieces on his uniform to the great kids in Div. 9!

Wear purple or black tomorrow! Start the discussion on why we are! Students, staff, and families wear purple and/or black tomorrow to get people to ask why we are... let’s start talking more about the impact of residential schools to further the awareness and understanding of what others went through as we work on Secret Path week activities.
