What's your take? Open concept? Separated rooms? My personal opinion, I like my kitchen to be just that, my kitchen. Not an extension of my family room. A kitchen to many, IS in fact their family/gathering room, away from other distractions of the home. Heck, if I have chosen to put off doing the dishes for a couple of hours while I unwind, I don't want to see them while I am putting my feet up in the living room.... That's just me.
