Come out on Thursday, Sylvia is our Toastmaster.
Spring allows for things to melt, dirt gets washed away and things become refreshed and grow -- Like Toastmasters, when you walk through that door, you starts to wash away some of those insecurities, you get stronger and with the support of your sunshine, watering and fertilizer.. (the program, the practice and membership) you can grow into a strong vibrant beautiful flower! We had a somewhat of an unorganized organized meetingmake sense? Well with the program working it’s magic, we managed a great speech, funfilled table topics (JIM- Jeff did you proud) Our general evaluator gave some great insight and the reports concise, to the point and very supportive, Well done!
Sargent at Arms Jim began our meeting with solid advice on forcing a greeting on those we encounter in the street For there our Toastmaster Liege Nancy regaled a tale of Elvish fantasy. She bestowed special title upon each role. Nicholas as Grammarian was called Clerk and beset the challenge to employ the word of the day, legend. Timer was none other than Karen, hence forth known as Reeve. As Chancellor (Warm Up Master), Tom had invited all ten in attendance to participate. Sir Knight Jeff encouraged his Squire Nicholas through his speech story, A Character Forged. Tom returned as Sheriff to host the jousting match known as TableTopics. In her closing Heather as Head of Privy Council provided a solid general evaluation. A rousing time had by all!
Sylvia set us to task as Sargent at Arms, allowing Aicha to get us moving in our theme of International Women's Day. Clyde challenged us to be and use the word of the day, exuberant; while Heather kept us on track with timing. Jim rose the temperature with leading Warm Ups. Once things got hot, Karen Ashton regaled us of her family's history in her speech Fields of Clover. Nicholas offered an informational speech regarding conflict management. Being kept on time, Wendy was able to have two people for TableTopics, Nancy & Luan. Jeff invited Tom to provide his evaluation for Karen as did Dave for Nicholas. Clyde was able to recount the numerous uses of exuberant while Heather provided some feedback from her role as Timekeeper.
