Lower Ohio Hall and Church 17.11.2020

Hello All, I am so happy to tell you that we will be resuming in person services 1st Sunday of the month.......Sept Service was the 6th We will try to keep you updated services ........... Of course, there are going to have to be restrictions as outlined by Dr. Strang and the Department of Health but we will be together again. Our first service will be at the Lower Ohio Union Church. They have marked out places for 24 individuals or two person bubbles in the sanctuary. We will be setting up the radio system in case of an overflow or if there are some folks who would prefer to stay in or near their cars. Please be sure to read over the attachment below regarding the personal daily check procedure. The "procedure" for entering the sanctuary is as follows Masks are required As you enter the building, your name will be recorded for contact tracing purposes and there will be hand sanitizer to use before entering the sanctuary. People will fill up the sanctuary from front to back and exit from back to front to minimize unnecessary contact There will be no Passing the Peace, if you have an offering there will be a plate at the entrance. Unfortunately as per the July 24th directive from the Dr. Strang there cannot be congregational singing at this time but we will have music to hum along to. o Singing and playing wind or brass instruments are higher risk activities because the virus can be transmitted through saliva or respiratory droplets. Choirs are not recommended at this time; refer to the COVID-19 Guidance for Musicians (Vocalists and Instrumentalists"). o Discourage congregational singing and chanting. Alternatively, suggest congregants hum along to the vocalist, instrumentalist or pre-recorded music At the end of the service each person will be asked to wipe down their area before leaving. We will be providing Lysol-type wipes but as these are a scarce commodity, it would be wonderful if you could bring your own. On September 13th, we will be having service at Trinity. On Sept, 20th there will be a congregational meeting after the service to discuss our Future Direction. The results of this meeting together with the surveys we did in January will be compiled to help the Executive form a recommendation regarding buildings and ministry to be presented at a Full Congregational Board meeting in October.
