Gibby's at Berkey's is a newish but very excellent lunch/brunch spot with outstanding soups, specials of the day, etc. They have suffered like all types of res...taurants have during the COVID times. As you can read below, some complete asshat with no apparent agenda ordered a big order of food over the lunch hour and then disappeared. The amount of the order would be a pretty big gouge to any restaurant working hard to stay afloat. Do you need some lunch tomorrow? Are you anywhere near the roundabout near Sherman Road where new construction is taking place? Today's soup was Roasted Butternut and Bacon! It is really good homestyle made in-house cooking! I know where I am going to get my lunch. Al Siebring, could/would you share this with your large audience? Hey everyone. Just wanted to give a quick heads up about something happening tomorrow in the bay with the sea lions. We have noticed this year, as well as previ...ous, that a few animals look to be entangled around their neck with man made material (anything from packing ties to fishing line). We document our encounters with these animals and forward it on to the marine mammal rescue team in Vancouver. Tomorrow, they will be coming into the bay with DFO to attempt to locate any entangled animals and, if possible, attempt to disentangle. You may see them out there so thought I would pass along the information. Cheers. See more
