We've had the privilege of working with Suzanne for many years. It's hard to imagine she's retiring! My first real chance of working with Suzanne was when the Library was led by a trio that shared the CEO position in an interim capacity. Suzanne was part of that trio and I remember distinctly we (David, Lynn, Suzanne and me, Allison) were strategizing on needed server and database upgrades for the ILS all sitting round a table in the old Carnegie building. I was only maybe ...3 years out of Library school and had been recently promoted to a Project management position at Geac. That's two decades ago....(Phil (CLT's co-founder) has known Suzanne even longer!) We've continued to work on different projects ever since; the Library was one of CLT's first customers. Open the Door and Explore with Oakville Public Library's latest self-service kiosks. NovelBranch now gives patrons access to Browse and Borrow material at two of its OPL Express locations. Introduced just last month to St. Luke's CC and QEPCCC, both locations have hand sanitizer and book returns to help ensure community safety .

Oakville Public Library Board, last month, voted to eliminate fines and to move to a permanent fine-free model. Last year, they had already implemented this policy on children's material. "Historically, libraries operating in a fine-free model are shown to increase their circulation, increase usage amongst lapsed and non-users of the library, and enhanced goodwill amongst existing customers."

Some days it feels like everything blends together, and more so with remote working.
