COVID 19 Update During the last 30 years of business, we’ve faced many challenges but nothing on the scale of what is happening now. Despite the risks, our family of friendly drivers is still out there serving the public by delivering prescription medications and driving the elderly to their doctor appointments, as well as many of the nurses that tend to the sick and those in nursing homes. We would like to thank you, the public, for your continued loyalty however we ask that... you please be considerate of the drivers and other passengers. Whether you’re a customer of Co-op Taxi Line Ltd, or a customer of one of the other existing taxi stands, we have a simple request to make of you: please, wash your hands frequently and try to take the necessary precautions to avoid the possible spread of Covid-19. To further minimize any risk, we would ask that you pay the driver either by debit or credit card, using the tap function. Many of you have been long time loyal customers and may enjoy the daily chat with our drivers during your commute. You may be asked to ride in the back seat as opposed to the front seat so as to maintain a safer social distance in case you feel the need to cough or sneeze. The drivers are doing their part by disinfecting any and all surfaces that you may come in contact with between fares. These will be challenging times for everyone, but if we can minimize the spread of Covid-19 it will give front-line medical staff a chance to work their miracles and do what they do best. Please follow the directives of the Chief Public Health Minister. Police looking for your help! - Corey At 4:30pm today, Queens District RCMP were called to a robbery that had just occurred at the Quick Mart in North River, P...EI. Thankfully there were no injuries during the robbery. The male suspect is estimated to be in his mid-twenties, approximately 5'10" and 190 pounds. He has a distinct neck tattoo "Loyalty" on the side of his neck. He may be driving a blue Mazda or blue Ford with the PEI licence plate number 374WW. Further to the request to locate a robbery suspect from earlier today, the suspect has been identified as 26 year-old Michael Hollinger. Police ask that the public refrain from approaching and call 9-1-1 with information about Hollinger or the vehicle noted This suspect is currently sought by the police. The RCMP is cautioning to not approach the man as he may be armed and he could be dangerous. If you see a man or the vehicle noted please call 9-1-1. If you have information about a person of this description or know where he may be call the RCMP at 902 368-9300.
