Merry Christmas and happy holidays to all. Winter is upon us, ice is in and snow on the ground. We are staying home this winter and having a quiet Christmas. As we will not all be getting together this Christmas I have just posted some pictures of the family. Grandson Erik and his wife Rebecca had a baby boy Oliver in October. Grand daughter Sarah is having a baby boy in the spring, a sister for Petra. Please everyone stay safe and hopefully we will see you all next season.
Did a walk about today and took a few pictures. Boats are still covered from last year. Grass is growing over roads. We are taking reservations for next season and hoping for the best.
Big wind storm last night. Tree in cabin one yard came down. Minimal damage to #4-5 & 9. I know some of you will be happy will improve lake view. We may have to take entire tree down. Lots of work.
Well looks like August is a write off as well. The Canadian Government has told us that anyone coming into Canada even if the border opens will need to isolate for 14 days. I don't think the border will open end of July and will continue to be closed until our season is over. Please anyone with reservations contact me and I will either move your booking to next year or refund your deposit. Weather has been so warm we are not getting much work done but perhaps when cooler weather comes we will get back to work. Take Care and Stay Safe. Kelly & Pat
Looks like the border will stay closed until July 21st when it will be reviewed again with possibility of extension. Anyone having a reservation up to July 21st please contact us and we will either transfer your deposit to next year or a later date this year or refund in full. Choice is yours. Take Care and stay Safe. Kelly and Pat
Another good day on Rainy Lake! Full Limits in 2 hours plus 6 fish over 22 inches. Lots of walleyes waiting to be caught! Hope everyone is being safe!
With the free time due to Covid I (Erik) have taken advantage of the opportunities to for fishing. Myself and a few friends went out today on Rainy and caught our full limits of walleye with some nice Northern and a nice surprise. 9lbs and 3oz white sucker on a jig and minnow we are currently in the process of getting the papers done to recognize it as a world record which was previously 6 lbs 8 oz. Hope to see all when I can I'll make sure the fish keep biting
Today the Canadian Government extended the closure of the US Canadian border until June 21. This means that they will look at it again by June 21st and either open the border or extend the closure further. Anyone having reservations with us during the closure period please contact us. Our policy is either to move you to a later date or same time period next year or we will refund your deposit in full, the choice is yours.
