The latest project. Restoration of this kiddies ride "The Champion". The last picture is what it's suppose to look like.

I refurbished this weld-o-matic spot welder. It had a thumb wheel style circuit board which had to be sent away to get fix every time it broke down. I cleaned, painted, replaced the old circuitry with a newer electronic one and replaced all the pneumatic's.

This is what can happen to your jeep if you run into a deer at night. Some welding, new bumper, fender, new headlight and some paint did the trick. I learnt a lot about spraying metallic paint. I have a whole new respect for people that do this for a living and restore damaged cars to the original look or better.

This was a personal project. In nearly 70's I played in the 14 pc Horn band and owned a Hammond B3. Hammond B3's weighed in at over 400 pounds. I was younger than :-) With my love for Hammond's, a friend of mine gave me a Hammond E 100 which still used the tone wheel generator which gives you the Hammond sound. The problem of course it was encased in a heavy wood cabinet and was still quite heavy. It was nothing that a few tools and a chainsaw couldn't fix :-) I made a aluminium frame with handles to replace the wood. It still takes two to carry but it is roadworthy ready for the next Woodstock gig.

I bought this old forklift for dirt cheap because it had been sitting outside for about four years. I was told the motor was shot and wasn't worth fixing. Someone had taken the head of the motor off in the attempt to fix it. I was determined not to spend a lot of money on it. After taking the head off and cleaning everything up I could see it might be salvageable. I decided to gamble and spend $150 on the gasket set. Once I put the head back on I did a compression check and t...o my surprise all four cylinders had good compression. After cleaning the carburetor, water pump, new belt and some work on the propane regulators, I found the reason why this machine wouldn't run was because the carburetor was absolutely full of dirt. I even left the original battery in it, which amazing to me considering the forklift had sat outside for at least four years. I charged the battery and started the engine. Interstates are indeed good batteries. You can check out the video of the first start on my video page. It runs quite nice. The small amount of smoke you can see is from the assembly oil and greases burning off on the manifold.

Amada 357 project: This machine had sat for a while before it was bought by one of my customers. The machine was in fair condition and we were told it had been working prior to being disconnected. After disassembling the machine to refurbish it, we found it to be quite rusty and the machine had lost all of its parameters. We also found it used a GE Fanuc controller. GE Fanuc was no longer in business and therefore the Amada serial number GE parameters were not available to download. After loading some standard Fanuc 357 parameters and making multiple changes to quite a few of them we managed to get it up and running.
