Thanks to everyone who participated in the Roy Grady clinic this weekend. Special thanks to Roy for braving the roads and coming to motivate us and successfully launch us into our 2020 riding year. We had lots of great moments; laughs, learning and bonding with our horses and human friends alike. Feeling excited about the progress and the depth of learning. I did not stop to take many pictures unfortunately but share a few here.

Roy comes to Copper Hills in Kamloops every month. His unique style of teaching helps riders understand themselves and their horses in a fun, effective way. Riders come away feeling happy, pleased and excited about their partnership with their horse.

This is why I have always enjoyed Carl Hester. Even before Charlotte and he became world equestrian leaders his sense about treating horses like horses really appeals to me. He was one of the first people I read who encouraged taking Dressage horses out for hacks and giving them variation and flexible goals in their life. For Freestyle to make the Olympics in Japan she needs to have no tension and be grounded and calm. This would not be the case if she were locked up in a stall for 6 months.
