I’ve been a bit quiet on the social media front with my business lately. There has been a lot going on and many changes happening in my life and I had to figure out how and when to share them. Before I do that I want to thank @stephaniebeeley for taking the time to capture some very precious moments of me and my daughter recently you are truly the sweetest and I’m in love with all the photos you took! Now on a more personal note, I’ve had to make some major decisions about ...Coquette Studios. When my daughter was born it was the middle of wedding season and I was quickly back to work bringing her along for the ride. She was a superstar, she’s 4.5 months old and already helped setup and design 14 weddings!! Leading up to her birth and while working after I knew that this wasn’t fully sustainable. I’m a single mom and running a business with crazy hours and providing a stable and consistent environment for a newborn don’t go hand in hand without a partner. The first years of a babies life are so crucial in developing the foundation for their whole life and I’ve decided that I need to take a year so Violet can have all my attention, so I can work with her schedule instead of her being pulled into mine and so I can be there when she needs a day off, when she’s sick or when she just needs to be a baby. It wasn’t an easy decision but ultimately I know it’s the right one. So for the 2020 wedding season my role is going to be Mom. My goal is to be back for 2021 and you never know I may pick up a few small weddings here and there before that! Someone told me they were proud that I was making a decision based off love and not fear and that really stuck with me in knowing that even though this was a scary decision to make it came from the love and commitment I’ve made to my precious little baby to give her everything I can!! If you have emailed and not received a response this is kind of why, life took over and I had to go with it. Leading up until now I’ve worked with amazing clients and vendors and am thankful for every experience I’ve had. I can’t wait to be back but for now I’m really enjoying watching this beautiful soul grow and develop into a little person See more
