Congratulations Simba on being Cancer free!! Simba was diagnosed via endoscopy with B-cell gastric lymphoma on Dec. 3rd, 2019. This is a cancer with a poor prognosis and he was initially given 4-6 weeks to live on palliative care or 108 days on chemo. He received oral chemotherapy right away at our clinic, then continued with injectable chemo in early Jan 2020 at Boundary Bay Veterinary Specialist hospital in Langley. Simba continued and finished chemo on March 31st, 2020, d...uring the lockdown. In April, he had a follow up endoscopy, the results determined on April 20th, 2020 that Simba was in remission. He had an abdominal ultrasound during the summer which came back clear as well. He just celebrated one year since diagnosis and is doing well. Simba has been in remission for 7.5 months and is now 14 years, 9 months old. Well done Simba, and to his fur-mom Lisa on this amazing achievement!
