Lest we forget.
Our Board is happy to welcome four new Directors! We are very excited to welcome Lois McNary, Jack Trumley, Debbie Pudek, and Malik Malikzada. We asked each of our new Directors why they wanted to join the Foundation and here is what each of them said! Lois: "For all of my adult life I have worked and volunteered for organizations that work to enhance the lives of individuals within their community. As I move to retirement I was looking for additional organizations that would... allow me to continue to work towards that goal. The Coquitlam Foundation does exactly that and I look forward to getting to work." Jack: "Service to others is the rent you pay for your room here on earth" - Muhammad Ali Debbie: "I have grown up in this community and have always looked for ways to give back. I am proud to be part of an organization that supports important and needed community initiatives for youth, seniors, in health, the Arts, education/literacy, conservation, heritage and the environment." Malik: "For me to serve the community and keep the tradition of service and volunteerism ignited and create an opportunity for next generation to stand on our shoulders, the way we are standing on the shoulders of those who have served the community before us."
Dedicated Legion 263 volunteers are selling poppies throughout Coquitlam now. Be sure to purchase yours and support our veterans.
Wishing everyone a Safe and Happy Halloween!
