wrinkle relaxers . These videos were taken 2 weeks apart. Results are not immediate with dysport. . There are tons of fun things we can do with Dysport (the main wrinkle relaxer, aka neuromodulator, that I use!)... . In this video, we used it to relax the lines that formed while the client was lifting her brows and frowning. She wanted more of a smooth texture to the skin in those areas and also wanted to start preventing those lines from getting deeper as she ages! We also did a touch on the end of her brows for a slight lift . The lines that you see when a muscle contracts in the face, are called DYNAMIC lines. These lines go away once the muscle is done contracting. For example, in the video, you can see the client lifting her brows and the lines show up but when she stops contracting, they go away. Over time, those dynamic lines start to etch into the skin and turn into STATIC lines - which are lines that are present even without muscle contraction. A great way to prevent static lines is to start using wrinkle relaxers while they’re still dynamic lines! If not, the lines will continue to deepen. But not to worry, in the case that you were unaware of the preventative technique, static lines can still be softened if they are already present . This client was okay with having no residual movement but if you’re nervous,we can always build up! . TREATMENT: Wrinkle Relaxer for glabella, frontalis, and orbicularis oculi regions PRODUCT: Dysport LONGEVITY: 3-4 months (this fluctuates due to the individuals’ metabolism as well as possible external/lifestyle factors) RECOVERY: This treatment can take up to TWO WEEKS for full results. Results are not immediate. Slight swelling and bruising is possible. Little bumps can appear immediately post injection but should soften shortly after, within 30 mins. I love looking at the face and analyzing the whole picture versus one area at a time to ensure that proportions are always appropriate and yield natural results . I only injected 3 areas on this beauty was able to treat 4! Treatment areas on the face can actually help lift other areas. For this client, I treated a small amount in her cheeks and helped define her chin and jawline. However, by treating the other areas, her nasolabial fold (smile line) was softened . Typically,... treating the cheeks help lift this area. Of course, everyone is different and some may need injections into the fold itself to see a difference. Obsessed with these lips!!! it was her very first time and she took a full syringe to achieve this look . Let’s talk about post-treatment expectations for lips! Every single treatment may be different. The first time I ever had mine done, I sported a HUGE moustache bruise and my swelling was almost double the size it was when it settled (I have scary pics if you would like to see it lol). Two days post injection was when my swelling was at its worst and 3-4 days afterwards ...was when I saw the true results and loved it! The other times I had them done... no bruising and very minimal swelling. It varies each time . NORMAL REACTIONS - swelling*** - bruising - tenderness - redness - dryness - decrease in size of filler***** (initial fullness will subside. When treatment is done, swelling is caused from injection sites and numbing! Usually if you like what you see leaving, you’ll want more ) . REACTIONS TO LOOK OUT FOR - blanching - severe pain - severe discolouration (can be confused with bruising, but let us know so we can asses just to be safe!) - rock hard bumps - signs of infection (warmth, local signs of abscess, fever) .
