Energy Toxicity (overconsumed calories)= Hyperinsulinemia (high insulin levels) Chronic diseases of Hyperinsulinemia: Type 2 diabetes... Hypertension, dyslipidemia, renal failure, asthma Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease PCOS, numerous cancers, erectile dysfunction Degenerative joint disease (arthritis), rheumatoid arthritis, osteoporosis, sarcopenia DEPRESSION Acid reflux, vertigo, hearing loss, macular degeneration Alzheimer’s disease, dementia Inflammatory bowel disease Peripheral neuropathy, tendinopathy Sleep apnea, sleep disturbances Atherosclerosis, coronary heart disease Nutrition matters, don’t let the current medical paradigm fool you otherwise. The quality of the calorie also matters, for long term success. Relying on meeting your point or calorie requirements is short sighted, for long term success, eat whole foods, that are NUTRIENT dense! The most nutrient dense food on the planet is MEAT, that’s why we’ve been eating it for millions of years, just stay away from refined carbs if you do eat it and you will be ok. It just so happens that reducing your insulin levels, will make your immune system more robust and able to stave off deadly viruses. Some things to consider as we head into the new year. Take back your health, with discipline and simplicity! Call me if you need some help.

A great example of sport specific training and rehabilitation, using the iron neck. There are many components to what we are doing but I’ll just touch on a few. We are using the neck as a lever to strengthen the deep stabilizers of the spine, from the neck to the sacrum, and the interesting feedback was that he felt his hips more engaged and stable throughout the motion. Proximal stability = distal mobility = greater movement capacity, strength and performance and reduced injury. #Coreperformancetherapywellness#ironneck#functionaltraining#fullbodyrehabilitation#chiropractic#musculoskeletalmedicine#injuryprevention#movementistherapy
