You were previously shown how to maintain the alignment to align the domes knees soft to lengthen and grow to maintain the axis shift forward to reach the heels toward the floor/ NOT PUSH but reach as that downward reach will aid in the growing to keep eyes open and look to the horizon you were taught how to add the slight extension maintaining the domes relationship ship with each other the chest rises slightly - the arm movement can help with this- as you were taught previously when you learn the Venus progression your eye gaze changes to glance slightly higher maintain slight axis shift forward maintain slight reach of the heels towards the floor continue to grow upon return do NOT let yourself collapse But to grow and regain the growth with eyes now back towards the horizon The video explains the details of the hands And arm movement which can be that next progression Don’t rush it ! Try the movement without the apnea first. The details of the arm movements are initiated with the thumb SLOWLY. always reaching the arms away from the body fingers nice and spread palms face forward when the chest is risen reaching out the pinkie fingers in the open position don’t rush the arms it is about the slow rotation all starting at the thumb as the rotation releases tension into extension.. follow the arm movement with the hands / thumbs leading. ....... The Hypopressive technique decreases intra-abdominal pressure & decongests the pelvic cavity. . What am I doing in this video I am proving that this form of ...training does in fact DECREASE abdominal pressure. . The diagram in the photo is an image of where the esophageal gastric balloon catheter with electrodes goes in my nose and passes through the esophagus so one balloon is then inflated above the diaphragm and one balloon in the stomach is inflated below the diaphragm. It is here it can measure the activity of the diaphragm and the pressure changes accurately. HYPOpressive’ - refers to a decrease or reduction in pressure. Hypopressive exercise reduces pressure to the thoracic, abdominal and pelvic cavities. This decrease in pressure provokes a suction and elevation of the connective tissues, offering a myofascial release while decongesting the pelvic cavity - a gentle slide and glide of the organs inwards & upward. HYPERpressive Traditional exercises, abdominal training, gravity, coughing as well as the majority of our daily activities increase intra-abdominal pressure. This increase in pressure pushes things down and out. . It is not to say that doing these everyday activities are bad for us, in fact most of what we do - even walking - increases this internal pressure. . What we need to address is how well our bodies are able to manage these pressures and prevent the onset of injury/dysfunction. The open ribs while my abdomen draws inwards and upwards is an automatic reaction that is created and not performed by voluntarily pulling in an up, there is a BIG DIFFERENCE between the two! . Hypopressive breathing technique - I simply inhale - then exhaled the air out ( without force or pressure ) - At the end of the exhale - I close the glotis / throat and open the ribs to mimic taking a breath but without letting air enter. - And you hold it / being in apnea - The continuous activity of the full body approach to postural details help to amplify the results and over time the postural details maintain alignment ( sooo much to say .. sooo little space ) - HOW CAN A SIMPLE BREATH technique go wrong - IT CAN sooooo ask a qualified Hypopressive trainer for guidance PLEASE - - (In my experience clients need to optimize their breathing pattern before they integrate the apnea) IT IS NICE TO KNOW THERE IS AN EXERCISE PROGRAM TO HELP BALANCE & COUNTER BALANCE THE ACTIVITIES WE International Hypopressives Council.

I honestly wouldn’t have noticed the drastic change in my posture over the past couple of months had you not shown me these photos. The unbelievable part is that between these photos I didn’t change my diet, have a chance to exercise or lose any weight so it is truly mind blowing that it all comes down to doing hypopressive breathing. The best part of it all is that my symptoms have drastically reduced. Before starting hypopressives, it used to stress me out so much to think that my only chance to feel normal again would be to get surgery. I fine tune and optimize his breathing pattern with some of the techniques I use. introduce him to the basics of the Demeter / lying on the back Hypopressives technical pose introduce the apnea/ false inhale, he connects with it nicely and performs is 2-3 times before we need to start wrapping things up. At 1:07 ..... the final minutes of the session I have him stand and reassess his breathing and alignment after our work on the floor . what happened next ??? He still can’t believe it Both sides of his abdominal wall have equal tone!!! And the resting tone feels great ! He is now able to reap the reward of an internal support belt. . TRANSFORMATION TUESDAY. . AlignBreatheRestore . . Inspired by Laura’s email I thought I would use her initial session photos for Transformation Tuesday... . The photos may catch your ....but her email reveals the deeper picture. . Hi Trista, I wanted to tell you... Today I took my 4yo and 5mo to bike ride on a nearby university’s campus. I had my 5mo in the stroller while my 4yo rode his bike. We met up with a mom friend and her 4yo and baby too, and we all more masks and stayed socially distant. We have done this a few times, and I’m always symptomatic while doing this-moving slower, lagging behind, etc. Today, however, I noticed I could walk a bit faster and I wasn’t symptomatic at all! I didn’t even need to do a recovery inversion when I got home! I kept breathing like I do in the hypopressives posesexpanding out, ribs and shoulder girdle wideand as I exhales I would say to myself, grow and imagine things going up. It became rhythmic: two footsteps of inhaling/rib expanding and two footsteps of growing out the top of my head. I could feel my pubic area being pulled up too. I do wear a pessary 100% of the time but still. I was symptomatic with the pessary previously and I wasn’t today. I credit posture, your cues, and hypopressives breathing and pose practice. TRANSFORMATION TUESDAY . Thought I would pull a client’s photo from the past ... + A clients photos from yesterday .... I think the response to seeing her photo again when I asked permission to share says a lot !! It is quite amazing to see those pictures, what a terrible state I was in! I think back to that initial session with you, my chest and diaphragm had been on lock down for so long - it was such an amazing feeling to actually take a deep breath laterally! A lot of choked down emotion and stress since having my babies, plus a weak core and diastasis created such a strange and dysfunctional state E.M . Our breathing pattern can so easily be influenced by stress, pain, injury, poor alignment, depression, over active abdominals, pregnancy and weight gain.... the list goes on! . .YOU CAN ENJOY THE REWARD OF AN EFFORTLESS BREATH AGAIN!! . . What happens when the fluidly of fhe breath returns?? YOU can starts to get it all back ! a new sense of self confidence improve rest improves energy improves voice projection improve athletic performance improve digestion improve pelvic function improve alignment . Other images will represent changes based on their Hypopressive practice... . Hey Trista, Just wanted to send you an update. I’ve been continually doing the exercises you gave me for the past month. I’ve definitely seen some great improvements. I’ve been able to consistently run for 15+ minutes with zero or very very minimal leaking which is a huge improvement over what I was able to do just two months ago. I’ve not noticed any leaking with sneezing. I’ve also noticed a reduction in period cramps and back pain over the last two cycles. And to top it off here are my one month progress pictures. HyPOPressives: One clients words reflect the voice of many (The finale day of POP awareness month, don’t stop talking about it ) Having a problem with pelvic ...floor muscles can happen at any time in life and can be caused by any number of different things.The point is that you may not have a symptom until much later in life and I don’t think I am alone when I say that I have no memory of anyone, doctors included, who spoke of the chance that prolapse of pelvic organs can happen. . . Pelvic floor weakness can be troublesome and leaves a woman feeling depressed and that there is nothing to be done. . . But really learning from Trista has been most beneficial.....Allows me to feel I am regaining control of my body again and have regained a sense of ‘normal’. . . These exercises are not difficult and can be done at any age .I expect to do them long into my old age years. I hope that in the future all young women learn the Hypopressive technique to enhance the value of the Kegel exercises. In time I would think that Hyporessives will be a part of every physical training session and workout. Around the globe women share the same messages... HyPOPressives: A Teenagers Perspective on the Pelvic Floor and Pelvic Organ Prolapse . As a teenage girl I have a lot to think about: school, sports, extracurri...cular activities and a social life, all of which take up a lot of my time. Another large part of my life as a teenager is body image having the perfect figure, which seems to be defined as having a slim, toned waist yet curvy featured. Young women are often obsessed with getting a perfect body, us young girls often turn to unhealthy measures, like dieting fads and internet ab fixes, that advertise to make us believe that doing their program is the only way to attain this. . For years I bought into these ideas, and crunches and situps became a part of my workout routine, as well as a part of my training as an athlete. But it wasn't until my mother started training in Hypopressives that I realized the toll it may take on my body, and in particular on my pelvic floor. I had been in school for 11 years, and played sports all of my life, so I asked myself, how is this the first time hearing about this? I have gone through many health classes in school, and learned all about the internal and sexual organs, about childbirth and bodily functions, yet never once was the pelvic floor, or prolapse mentioned. . . I feel so lucky to have learned about the pelvic floor when I did so that I have been able to take preventative measures, but I am very worried about my generation, who like the others before, don’t know what they might face later in life based on their decisions today. I hope young women can start to realize that achieving the defined perfect body isn’t worth severely damaging our bodies on the inside. I hope they can find a balance between the ab exercises that are putting pressure on the Pelvic Floor, and find exercises that can alleviate some of that pressure...
