My HOP Model talks about Growth Mindset made popular by Stanford Psychologist Carol Dweck. I also talk about the concept of Grit made famous by University of Pennsylvania professor Angela Duckworth. I also like how Ryan Holiday speaks to this in his bestseller "The Obstacle Is The Way." However, this wisdom is timeless as seen by some of the quotes below that go WAY back! The impediment to action advances action. What stands in the way becomes the way. - Marcus Aurelius... "We also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope." - Romans 5:3-4 NIV Here is the tip: Embrace challenges, obstacles, feedback, and failures as learning opportunities that grow you. You do that and your life and impact will not only be meaningful and purposeful but you will see your success grow beyond your woildest dreams.
