MOTIVATION MONDAYI have gotten way better at a daily routine where I set goals for the week in both work and life. Every morning I set aside quiet time to connect with God, list all I am grateful for and decide how I want to show up that day. I block off work time each day which includes setting up client meetings and photoshoots, editing, staying up to date on photography workshops and of course social media. I now pre-plan all my Instagram posts and email blasts which has been a game changer for me (thank you @mediaalacarte). LIGHTING IS EVERYTHING As a photographer, lighting is KEY in creating a beautiful result. I've experimented a lot with natural light vs. studio light and I must say my preference is always natural light. It can be fleeting and unpredictable, whereas studio lights allow me to control everything regardless of what the weather is doing outside or where the sun happens to be at any given time. The hours I've spent experimenting and the money I've invested in lighting equipment will ensure a beautiful result for my client every time! WWW.CORINNEHAMILTON.COM

MOTIVATION MONDAY I am starting this Monday series because I believe it's so important to keep encouraging each other as women. Today's #MondayMantra is "I am worthy of investing in myself and my business." We can come up with every excuse in the book not to get in front of the camera. "Oh, my business is about the product not about me" or "I'm not feeling my best, no one wants to see a picture of little old me". But what if, instead of telling ourselves we can't or we shouldn't, we said "I am WORTHY of investing in myself and my business"? People WANT to hear your story and how you are involved in your business! Personal branding photography is such an important part of showing up in your business and you ARE worthy of that investment.
