We are so excited to announce the CHIEFS CHALLENGE! Next Wednesday, Sept 23rd the Port Hope Police Service Chief and Deputy Chief will challenge the Port Hope Firefighters Association Chief and Deputy chief to a duel! They will compete a variety of tasks all while in HIGH HEELED SHOES! This is to support our Walk A Mile 2020 event happening next weekend. If you would like to support these brave soles in their challenge.....and you really should..... please come out to cheer them on at 10:00 am next Wednesday in Memorial Park, Port Hope. The report, titled Pandemic meets Pandemic: Understanding the Impacts of COVID-19 on Gender-Based Violence Services and Survivors in Canada, reported on findings that provide an account of the challenges facing sexual assault centres, transition houses, and other anti-violence organizations during the pandemic as told from the perspective of those on the frontlines.
