Merry Christmas from the Cornwall Karate Club!Merry Christmas from the Cornwall Karate Club!
Unfortunately, in order to comply with the Province of Prince Edward Island's 14-day "circuit breaker" period of enhanced restrictions to try and stop community spread on PEI, we will need to cancel classes for the rest of 2020. Stay safe, everyone! We look forward to beating this thing and being back in 2021.
I am happy to announce that we are going ahead with the start of karate tomorrow, Friday, Dec. 04! Unfortunately, we are not able to take new students at this time, as we need to get more experience with the new format first. If you would like to be placed on the list, you can contact us below. Our COVID-19 Operational Plan including class times and safety requirements can be found on our web site. https://www.cornwallkarate.ca/mailer/contact/info/
Cornwall Karate is happy to announce that we are commencing summer classes together with our sister dojo, the Island Karate Club. Classes will be Monday evenings. Space is limited in order to comply with the guidances from CPHO and Karate PEI. Anyone interested in attending, please message us.
COVID-19 Update: The Province has announced that schools are remaining closed until until at least May 11. Based on this information, and to do our part in the overall fight to stop COVID-19, we have decided to cancel the remainder of the Spring 2020 Karate session. We will issue refunds for people who have paid for the full session as per the email that went out earlier. We will work on finding activities we can do online, such as the Virtual Kata Tournament that was announc...ed earlier, and other activities that we will undertake on our Facebook Group. Join the Group to stay informed! Everyone stay strong and stay safe! https://www.cornwallkarate.ca//covid-19-update-spring-202/
This news is sad but not unexpected. We need to do everything possible as a community on PEI to stop COVID in its tracks. There will be a further update to Cornwall Karate's COVID statement coming soon.
Hi everyone, I'd like to encourage you all to join our Facebook Group. It's similar to the Page but private to members. As we all adjust to the challenges to these difficult times with COVID, it is important that we keep our spirits and our training up. The virtual kata tournament put on by the Shotokan Alliance of PEI is a great start! I would like to look at some other virtual activities and training as well, and the Cornwall Group would be a great place to do that. https://www.facebook.com/groups/178496846289149/?ref=pages_groups_card&source_id=248050841903222
Hi everyone, I encourage everyone to Like this group! We are holding a Virtual Kata Tournament in an Event on this group, as I emailed about, to help keep us active and involved in karate during this trying time. Join the Group and then scroll down to join the event! This tournament is open to all members of the Shotokan Alliance of PEI, which includes Cornwall Karate!

COVID-19 statement: For the time being, we are on hiatus anyway from Mar. 16-20 for March Break. We're waiting on official statements from the Public Schools Branch and Health PEI. We will be following whatever they direct or recommend. We'll issue a further statement before the end of March Break, but our expectation right now is that the hiatus will be extended.
